Week 10

Man! It has been a rough quarter this quarter. I have learned so many things this quarter and met new friends and colleagues. I hope all of you suceed in your endeavors. It is hard to believe it has been ten weeks already. Time is flying by so fast.

Well in doing my proposal, I learned new techniques in devising a proposal. I only hope I can find enough references to back up my proposal. It is hard when trying to propose something that has no written data about it. Well, maybe I will luck up.

Week 9

Week 9 was very interesting. I learned about copyright and when to use copyrighted material and when not to use it. I also learned about privacy issues. I have done everything, and I am trying to finish up my proposal. It has been rough trying to find the resources to use in my proposal because I am writing about a subject that really has no specific data about it. I wish everyone luck with their proposal and to keep up the good work!!!

Week 8

Well we are almost there. The information I learned in the chapters has made it easy to write reports, memos, letters, and resumes using the proper formats. Writing a professional letter. memo, or resume can help you achieve success in your area of expertise.

Week 7

Week 7 deals with privacy and copyright issues. It shows you what to look for and how to use materials to your advantage without copyright infringement. It also shows ethical behavior and how to protect yourself when trying to use copyrighted material.

Week 6

Week 6 was interesting. I learned about ethical issues that may arise when creating my web pages.. I also learned what to look for on web pages to make sure I am not violating anyone's copyright laws and privacy laws. Unethical behaviors may exist in certain forms of data according to how you present the data.

Week 5

Week 5 was a very hard week. Not only did I read about how to design and look for web etiquette, but I also learned how to implement technical communication into my web page. The web page I created is not the best in the world, but it is simple and to the point.

Week 4

Weeks 4-6 are gonna be challenging. I am currently working on the Bibliography assignment right now and I should finish it tonight. The webpage assignment is going to be a little tricky because I have never used Frontpage before. It is a lot of work and with my assignments in my other class, it's going to make it even tougher to get it all done. Good luck to everyone on these assignments.

Week 3

Week 3 was an interesting week. I learned about some technical information I was not aware of in my field. I also found out information about the future of my current field which was a positive. The 2 page summary was hard to do because the field I am currently in is so vast I couldn't hardly find general information on it. I hope everyone else had an easier time than I did.

Week 2

I have learned several key factors by reading chapter 2. I have learned that people can belong to multiple discourse communities. I have also learned that when writing for an audience, one must consider the audience's needs by analyzing your audience for the information they desire or need specific information.

Week 1

I have created my blog and learning how to post blogs.

Fall Quarter 2008 ENG195 Online

Well, I am in my last quarter of school. I am currently taking English 1102(ENG193) at Southwest Georgia Technical College and ENG195 at Albany Technical College. When I pass these two classes, I will have earned my Associate's of Applied Science in the CIS-Networking Specialist program.

It hasn't been easy. I started taking classes in Spring 2003 and received my Networking Specialist Diploma in Spring 2007. It is hard when you work full time and go to school at night. It is especially hard when you also have three children.

I had a rough quarter last quarter. I took 4 online classes at one time and worked full time in the day. I will never do that again. i didn't think it would be that rough. The MAT191 was rough, but I made it through it.

I look forward to working with all of you this quarter, and I wish all of you good luck in the future.
